Happy Monday everybody! Today was rehab day, so here we go:
I walked on the treadmill for 30 minutes at 1.8mph. This was a speed increase for me, and it was tough. The first 20 minutes, I kept telling myself I was going to have to cut the speed back a notch, but I hung in there, and the last 10 minutes were fine. We'll see how it goes on Wednesday.
Then I did the leg press: 6 reps each at 110, 115 and 120 lbs, followed by sit/stand: 3 sets of 5 with the 3kg medicine ball. Stretched before and after, and did arm machine 5 minutes before and after.
All in all, a good exercise day. ;D ;D

Hi! I did 3 loads of towels, swept and mopped the floors 2x at work. (owner of the place I work for may be stopping in today so the house has to look beyond good!). I dusted yesterday.

Good job Sue! I have trouble doing that stuff in my own house -- especially doing the floors. I'd hate to have to do it for a living. I have been trying to find ways to save money, so have been checking out the "discount" stores around town. I haven't found much that costs less than where I normally shop (using coupons and buying sale items) and my store is much nicer, but I have gotten some good walks in going around all of them.

Hello gymmers, I did 1hr on the treadmill and will do another 1hr this evening. I will be doing core muscles and legs & arms this afternoon.
I would love to be walking outside, but afraid that is gone for this year. Way to cold and feels like snow is coming to me. brrr
Blessings & have a great workout!

Sue - We have a Dollar General (not actually anything for $1.00). They have a small grocery area, but it is all off-brands and pretty nasty....I'm not that hungry! The actual $1.00 stores don't carry groceries at all. Well I went to rehab today: Here I am I did 30 minutes at 1.8mph (that's 9/10 of a mile) with no problem. Increased my weights on the leg press to 115, 120 and 125 pounds (six reps at each weight), plus did my sit/stand with 3kg medicine ball - 3 sets of 5. I felt real good through the whole thing. My rehab is held at the hospital's Wellness Center, so they have a public gym, aerobics classes, yoga, etc. This week there has been a significant increase in the number of people there. Guess that's a sign that the Snowbirds are on the way. It will be harder and harder for me to get onto the leg press since it is in the regular gym. I'm not sure how I will handle that. Snowbirds are a "necessary evil" around here. They are excellent for our economy, but they really get in the way sometimes!

Here is a snowbird that will not be joining you, except here in this gym. I don't like the snow, but Florida, I think I don't want to go that far. My stepsister lives down there and I have been there several times, just to far.
I see you are up to jogging now. Well I did my stint on the treadmill, and the ball, am right now going in to shower and go out to run some errands, back this evening will do some more treadmill.
Have a good day all you gymmers!!

Arlene -- I'm not actually jogging....only in my imagination!! Just thought it was a cute picture. I went to the grocery store today and worked with my dumbells after I got home. That was about it for me.

My pedometer died on me so am only guesstimating my walking. Unless I can't for some reason, I've been out walking since last week. A hour here a couple hours there. I try to keep going. Pat

Keep it up Pat (and Sue). You know walking is the best exercise there is. I did rehab this morning -- same stuff as last time -- and worked with my 5# dumbell this afternoon. Hope you all have a nice weekend. Rest, put your feet up. The gym opens bright and early Monday morning!!

I'm going to start back to my pulmo main't class this week (I hope). Gas is cheaper now so can't use that as an excuse anymore. Wish me luck. Pat
