I've tried E-Cigs briefly in the past, they didn't work for me, now I'm ready to try them again, with the intent of making them work. My immediate goal is to mix E-cigs with real cigs, and reduce the real cigs I smoke by half. I could then decide where to go from there. I'm looking for E-Cig recommendations.
A bit about me. I started smoking when I was 12, during school break, and when school resumed, I was a very committed smoker, a pack a day. I've smoked a pack a day since then, except for when I went through menopause, then it was a pack and a half a day. I smoke Marlboro reds 100's; I appreciate cigarettes that are long and strong. Most of my smoking is done when I'm doing nothing else, so I can fully enjoy my cigarette, as well as smoke the entire cigarette. I've never quit, never tried to quit, never wanted to quit, except for now, I at least want to reduce my smoking.
What E-Cigs would work best for me? Naturally, the feeling in the lungs is most important, but I would also hope for something that I would hold like my Marbs. Thanks in advance for any and all advice.

I am 73 and also started smoking about 10 years old, I had to be cool like my older brother. I never did try Ecigs, however I tried to quit numerous times throughout my adult life. I tried chewing tobacco and only ended up chewing and smoking at the same time. My niece quit smoking by doing exactly what you propose. She used Ecigs to ween off of cigarettes about 5 years ago. I can tell that you are really committed to this as you are doing research and forming a plan. I do applaud you and hope you become a victor in this battle. I believe the Journal of Health has some smoking cessation programs as does the Veterans Association. Good luck and God bless.
Sending love and prayers, Ken

I too hope that you are successful. I thought e-cigs were not so great for the lungs either.

depending on what state you are in, CBD can help as it eases the cravings. worth a try...any form of smoke is bad for us....many support groups are out there also.

Thanks Wendy. I wound up going with myBlu, and it's worked well helping me cut my one PPD consumption in half. And where I only smoke in my kitchen, office-room, or balcony, I can comfortably vape anywhere in our home
