Well, I have been missing again. I really was working out good. I had it under control and was moving forward. Things happened that made it more difficult to keep up but I did it. Seems this past week I lost it all again. I have stayed back at rehab except I missed this past Thursday. Until I can get on a schedule I will not post my numbers. My expecatations are to get back on track very soon. Just might need a day or so more. Don't give up on me. I have not been posting for couple weeks but I have read some every few days. I have to exercise. I already knew it was helping and already feel the loss again. You all take care and keep up the good work.

Mary - It is so good to see you. Since my mom got ill, I've missed tons of days and also feel the loss. Sounds like we both need a sure-fire method to keep our schedules. lol
It's raining today. I'm hoping it will clear up long enough to get a walk in outside. Be well everyone.

Well, I was gone the last few days, but I got out and walked at a flower garden for an hour or so with a cousin. Walked for 15 min around my daughter's neighborhood. And I dont know how many times up and down stairs as the potty is up there and my bladder must have shrunk, lol. Keep up the good work everyone!

8/8 I went to post office and then to Targets afterwards. I got in 4.5 miles and 9500 steps. The a/q particles are unhealthy today, so couldn't walk outside if I wanted to:) Primary/secondary pollution is moderate. So I'll be indoors rest of the day. Before the end of the day I'll have my 10,000 steps in. Pat

Pat, You did real good considering the air your way! I mopped floors last night, dusted the whole house at work last night and that is about it. It is raining, so couldnt get out.

All I can say is I do my best. This summer has been a real challenge for me and I hope the worst is behind me. I know when I took my rehab class they emphazied that you don't judge yourself by anybody else. I totally admire anyone who gets up and moves however difficult it is for them. Pat

Hi everyone. I've been incommunicado, but I have been going to rehab. Today I walked 20 minutes at 1.5 mph, did 10 squats with the medicine ball, and 32 reps on the leg press: 12 @ 85 lbs, 10 @ 90 lbs and 10 @ 95 lbs. Next week I will be up to 100 lbs! I can't believe it.

I have been a slacker here lately. I did do a lot of walking yesterday and did work with the weights for about 20 mins last night and I feel it in my legs today. I might get on the TM later, will see how my legs feel. I need to get back into my routine here soon.

Hi -- We found a new place to walk by the lake. Just beautiful. I love to see the ducks and swans in the water. It's a paved walkway/bike path, so there are lots of other people about. It only takes us about 5 minutes to drive there from our home.

Me on prednison...lol I went to tai chi today. Stayed a 1/2 hour. I had problems with my shoulders and my balance. Well let me say, it was mostly my shoulers and some balance issues, but not enough to cave in. I will go back again next week and keep trying til it gets easier I think the slow movements and stretching, etc are good for relaxing. Pat

Pat, that prednisone should have you running laps!! Cheryl - I wish our weather would allow me to walk outside. It is just too hot and humid - I can't breathe. I lifted weights last night before I went to bed. Went to the grocery store today - I had laundry going at the same time, so really hustled my way through the store. Whew! Busy, busy!

Merry, I'm off higher doses of prednisone now and hope that bump has gotten me over a bad spell. It's been cooler here alot the last couple of days. Pred does linger in my system awhile, so I might still be feeling the effects. In fact, it was 10 degrees cooler inside my apt than it's been all summer. I feel better in cool weather. I want to get out somewhere today. Maybe that Wal-mart like you Sue. Lots of walking and fun to look around. BBL and let you know how it went..Pat

Friday: Had rehab today. I walked 20 minutes @1.5 and then went to the leg press. 12 @ 85lb, 10 @ 90lb, 12 @95lb. Followed that with 10 squats (I don't know what else to call it when I sit down and stand up) with the 2k medicine ball.
It's interesting - I find myself looking forward to going to rehab and seeing how much I can do. I can't remember ever feeling that way about exercise before. I like the feeling!

Merry, exercise can become addictive:) Good for you. The more you exercise the easier it'll be to bounce back from your tx, whenever that occurs.
I went out Friday to Target and had to leave early because I developed a intestinal upset. That always makes me tired and I laid down for a nap after I got home and slept at least a hour, maybe more. Pat

We had family stop by this morning - daughter, SIL and their 4 kids. I love them dearly, but they wear me out!! So just laid around all afternoon. Lazy me.

I havent done much except the usual stuff at work. It has been raining and it has bothered my breathing a bit. Now I could walk at Walmart and get ideas for Xmas shopping (and leave the $$ at home, lol)
