Hello. I was diagnosed maybe 5 or 6 years ago with copd and 60% lung capacity. I have pretty severe symptoms I suppose, but really have little toncompare it to with no primary care doctor or anything of the sort.
I've been having increased pain on varied sided of my chest about mid level I guess. This has been going on for a long time, but has, as of late, increased in intensity and duration. I also have a giant cell bone tumor in my right shoulder approximately the size of my fist; it holds my arm on and allows for continued function. This is also an existing condition. It has been biopsied in the past when found, at which time it was found to be benign; however mutation and/ or metastasis seems likely in my lamens opinion as biopsy promotes metastasis, and copd most likely helps little. What can help with this pain? Does marijuana help with the symptoms of copd (break up obstruction/ phlegm allowing for more effective lung function)? Does it promote the possibility of cancer? If both; does the pro outweigh the con?
Also; given the noticeable decline in lung function over the past 5 years, and finding excessive difficulty inbred most mundane tasks at 36 years old; how long might one expect to continue a functional lifestyle?
Thank any in advance.
peace

Smoked crack cocaine habitually for maybe two years causing much scar tissue, had pneumonia at 17. Smoked cigarettes from the age of 15 unto this day.

Hey Pops, I won't jump on the stop smoking bandwagon cuz you already know ya should and that it would actually help you to where you'd notice the difference.
Marijuana helps various family members of mine with their pains, migraines, and most recently my late daughter in law with her severe brain tumor pain.
Try and eat healthy and do what ever exercise you can..I walk daily. I could only do 5 min at a time, now I do 90. I could last longer but I have other stuff to do. I look at it as whatever floats your boat, as long as you're moving.
And welcome!!
