I know many of us dream of having our lungs healed with stem cells. Medicine and health care is not there yet regardless of what clinics tell errr sell us.
Before committing to stem, cell treatment at a clinic with people telling personal stories of success (anecdotal records), please read the following links. Many people do not realize that cancer is stem cells run amuck. Stem cells are also seem to be specific for an organ so taking adipose (fat), harvesting cells from it and convincing people that these cells will heal the heart, lung, and hearing is pie in the sky. They are preying on us who are desperate for a cure.
When contacting a clinic, ask the clinic or doctor for the peer reviewed journal articles "they" have published on "their" success. If it was great and results were easily replicated they would certainly write a peer reviewed journal article. With all the clinics operating in the US and world, one would think there would be at least one article. I can find no peer reviewed journal article on successful stem cell treatments for COPD or lung damage on humans. Not saying there are not any but I am pretty good researcher and I come up with nada. Antidotal stories of cures can be bought, some may be placebo, some may actually work for the clinic, and perhaps some are real. If the cure is real then they should publish so other researchers can review and replicate their results.

When large teaching or research hospitals like University of Colorado Medical Center, Sanford, Mayo Clinic, National Jewish Hospital etc start offering clinical trials it might be worth considering. Currently I do not feel the research is there to support any COPD stem cell treatment.
