I wasnt sure what to put in the subject line.......
1. crockpot liners are great! You get 4 in a box and there is no clean up. Just take the food out when it's done cooking and toss the bag.
2. If I'm going to make cooked cabbage or need to cut up carrots, I will buy the bags of shredded cabbage for cole slaw and use that instead.
3.For the carrots, I'll buy the baby ones, or the shredded or sliced, depending on what I'm making. It sure saves time for me on the cutting and I dont have to worry about losing a finger, lol.

Sue, thanks for the tips. I always buy the shredded coleslaw. It works great and I eat baby carrots raw. But now that I am on the low-potassium diet, I can only eat cooked carrots. I like them better raw. I'll have to try the crock-pot liner. IThey sound great. I use my crock-pot alot. Pat

I have bought the shredded cabbage for coleslaw , but for some reason never thought of using it for cooked. Another good idea.
Pat, if you ever use the liners you will never be without them again. I have only used mine once , but it was wonderful to not have that clean up after.

I have a crockpot question.......is it me or do things not take as long to cook as the recipe says? It seems like food usually cooks in half the time and that is keeping it on the low setting too.

Yes Sue. I went out this morning and put chicken thighs in the crock on low, and I came home two hours before it was suppose to be done and they were done. Actually could have been taken out of there and hour earlier. I have been wondering if it was just my crock.
