Welcome Breathless, I hope we can help you adjust to life with COPD. I am 68 and was totally disabled by this monster in 2002. The one thing I learned over the years, if we take control and help manage our health care we can live a very productive life style. We have to realize an adjustment in activity level is needed and we have to be very selfish when it comes to pleasing others. We will have good days and bad days but there are many new studies and helps for us. First thing, IF YOU SMOKE, QUIT. Second, control your atmosphere to the best of your ability. Again, welcome and I am sure you will be able to share helps with us also.

Hi Breathless, and welcome! I'm going to check out your FB page, sounds great! I'm 55, married with 5 kids, 10 grands and another due in May. I work 3rd shift in a group home for mentally handicapped adults. I do crafts, etc also. Would love to go to flea markets and auctions but I have no room if I buy anything, lol. I got d'x in 2005. I still go tent camping. I walk 90 min just about every day. As long as I take my advair, I do alright. I hope you join us, and as said above, we support each other, will be here for you also.
