Nothing new here for a while so I thought I'd post some things that help make things a bit easier and less time consuming.
Make a grocery list~ I find that this helps save a lot of time on decision making & it also saves money. Knowing what your going to make and making a list and shopping off that list saves both and takes the stress out of trying to figure out whats for dinner. When buying roasts, find recipes for the leftover meat. Also when you get home & if you have a lot of produce, the vinegar wash really does work and wash all of it at once and then everything will be clean and ready when you need it. This is one of the best time savers or me.
Have a few laundry baskets if you have the room and throw the clothing in each according to the load ie; 1 basket for whites, 1 for colors, 1 for towels & sheets or however you sort your laundry (Dan's work clothes get done separately)and this way you just grab them out the the basket and no sorting required...quick & easy!! I only have room for 2 baskets but really could use 3~~ still its easier.
Empty paper towel holders, the cardboard ones, make nice thong holders.
Try to spend about 15 minutes a day depending on how big your house it, picking up and cleaning, keeps your house cleaner and then you spend less time doing the big cleaning stuff. Been doing this for a while and it really does help, especially if your a working Mom or just busy in general.
For those with dishwashers, in the silverware bin, separate your silverware, put all forks in 1 bin, spoons in another and so on, very easy to put away when the cycle is done. I used to hate sorting through the silverware till one day Amy's friend was over and loaded the dishwasher and did this..I was like~~DUH~~ so much easier!!!
If anyone else has any handy tips, please feel free to add to this!!
