Hello all. Well I am not breaking any records, but I did do the arm bike, learning how to walk with a cane. Went up and down some stairs with the cane. I did alot of different walking. So far my pt hasn't told me to do anything at home. I guess I am not stable enough.

Pat - glad you are getting some PT...I'm sure it will help you feel more secure. Stairs are tough for me too, thanks to my broken kneecap. I have to be very careful. How often will you be going? Do you have the same handsome guy you had before?

I walked 40 min today... too hot and i was getting attacked by gnats.

I went to the gym this morning. Did my water aerobics class and then swam laps for about 10 minutes.
Sorry about the gnats, Sue. They've been bad here, too - especially when it's real humid.

Yes Merry. Same handsome fellow but gay as hell. You couldn't tell it by looking. I like him though, great personality and funny as heck.

My friend Ann took me to physical therapy yesterday. Tom put me through my paces. Arm bike, pedal machine, walking back wards, sidewaus, balancing on each foot holding onto a bar and pretending to sit down in a chair and then walking with a cane all around the room and up and down stairs. A good workout.

I've gotten a walk in every day this week along with a bit of swimming in Wed. Yesterday I walked for just under 2 hrs... took advantage of no humidity. Didnt walk today yet tho.

I I had a good workout this past Friday. I was there about an hour. He tells me how good I am doing. Having a problem getting my right leg to behave as I had the strokelast Sept. Just a minor one

I'm still being good...going to water aerobics 3X per week. I always stay after and either swim laps or do extra exercises for my shoulder. Before class, I get on the leg press - I'm doing 30 reps at 125 lbs.
So, I feel like I really get in an adequate amount of exercise...so how come I can't lose any weight? And, in fact, my weight is creeping up -- about 5 pounds in the last 8 months (since I messed up my knee). So now I'm about 25 pounds too heavy. It's so frustrating!!
