Creamy Bacon and Cheese Dip
Ingredients
16 ounces sour cream 8 ounces cream cheese, softened 2 cups (8 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese 1 jar (3 ounces) bacon bits 1 cup chopped green onions 1 envelope onion soup mix crackers Assorted fresh vegetables (optional)
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F. In a mixing bowl, stir together sour cream and cream cheese. Fold in shredded cheese, bacon bits, green onions and onion soup mix.
2. Pour into a 2-quart baking dish. Cover and bake in oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until hot and bubbly. To serve, place in center of platter and surround with crackers and assorted fresh vegetables (optional).
This came out good. Next time I think I'm adding some jalapenos chopped, in it also. Source: Townhouse

It sounds good, but I agree - the addition of jalapenos would really perk it up One of our favorite dips is equal parts salsa (mild, med. or hot to your taste) and velveeta. Microwave til melted. Stir and serve with corn chips~~or layer chips with ground beef and salsa, and then pour the cheese dip over it.

I' ve had that.. it is good! Melting salsa and cream cheese works too. Or dumping a can of chili over cream cheese and heating it. You dont have to mix it

Merry, also have done the velvetta & salsa, that's a staple in our house on Sundays in football season...lol

I think for the bacon and cheese dip, a little cayenne pepper. I cant do jalepeno...I am wimpy, and so is my belly, lol.
I never mixed the salsa and velveeta, but have had a dip similar in a jar...sounds good.
