1 loaf of french bread, cut into slices width-wise, don't cut all the way thru the bottom
8-12oz sliced fresh mushrooms
Sliced provolone cheese, 12 presliced were plenty
Thyme
Saute the mushrooms, add the thyme to taste. A little garlic would be good too. Place the loaf on a piece of aluminum foil, large enough to wrap the loaf. Put a slice of cheese (i used a half slice as it fit better) and some mushrooms between each slice. Melt some butter and drizzle over the loaf. Wrap in foil. Bake at 350 for 15 min then unwrap and bake another 10 min or until cheese melts.
