I am going to the plaza today and will there almost 5 hours. I ride access transportation and they don't always have a good time to pick up or drop off. So I'll have plenty of walking time:)

is that indoors Pat? I'm thinking of A/C, or maybe you don't need it now.......keep moving and you are doing great with that....
I am still doing TM and upper body stuff with the bands....

Pat - you should be proud of yourself for getting out and exercising as often as you do. I go to the gym, but I really need to walk more. Since I had my surgery, I quit walking the dog...plus it's just been too hot...and I really need to get back to it. Maybe that's one reason my hips have been bothering me so much.

I took my walker with me. I can walk so much better with it. The plaza is indoors and had a/c the whole while. It's too hot to take walks outside. 95* today and not condusive to walking.

I admire anyone who can get out and move no matter how slow. It takes effort to make that commitment. Good for you all and thank you...

I took bus to First stop past the bus stop across the street. I walked over to Mrs Wilson's toy and book store to buy a book for my g-son. Did take my walker. so it was a bit more effort on my part as I got sob, dang it. I can at least say I keep moving. Today, bus to CVS to get a padded envelope and maybe a bus to PO stop. In days before this condition required surgery, I thought nothing of walking from CVS to PO. I hope to get back to those days:)

I'm not sure if I told everyone I went on vacation with my family (grandkids and all!!). We were there for a whole week and we all had a terrific time. The only bad part was the stairs. My son found this place for us on Seneca Lake. It slept 10 people which was wonderful. They have at least 30 stairs and getting up them wasn't easy. All the while I was there I felt wonderful!! I didn't wheeze at all while I was there and they had the air conditioner set at 75. It was a very hot week and I usually set ours a lot lower. I believe now that exercising is what I need. Rehab is very hard to get into this area but I have been walking around the house a lot. I just read Victoria's post and was glad everything is going good for her. Can someone tell me what else I can do but walk? I'm glad your feeling better Pat! I hope you continue. (BTW Sue, I did a ton of fishing. They took the boat out very early in the morning but I waited until later. I love to fish but not enough to get up early.)

Linda - sounds like you had a great time! And in a beautiful area, too. Walking is the best exercise you (or anyone) can do. Sorry you had to deal with so many stairs -- they can be really tough.
When I visited my mother, I had an awful time with stairs ...my brother had a 3-story house. Mom lived on the 1st floor, and they had the upper 2 floors. Guest room was on the 3rd floor. It was terrible going up and down!!
