I also think their right about women going to the dr. more and that is why more are diagnosed. I have a hard time getting Dan to go....not that he is in danger of getting COPD.....he quit smoking over 20 yrs. ago and had a PFT 5 yrs ago and it was normal.

In addition to COPD being more prevalent in women than in men, studies show it is harder for women to quit smoking than for men.
I'm sure there's a connection.

I sure don;t mean to put you down or minimize the report but please don't let this be a stumbling block in your journey. If it is harder, you need to fight harder and search for new or different tools to achieve your intended goal. This is a life and death battle and I am praying for you success in beating this demon. Smoking was cool when we were kids; NOT SO MUCH NOW!
