This is something I plan to send to my kids and print out for DH. It has a lot of good, common-sense info that a lot of people may not know - or may need to be reminded of. Thanks for posting it.

This was excellent and made me think of things I hadn't thought of before. Thanks Colleen. I hope you make it a "sticky".

Yes, Thanks Colleen, I saved it also..That is the first place where I've read that you may look as if your breathing normal, but be very short of breath...LOL, i don,t worry about it when people tell me i don't look sick or sob, but i am very bad sometime but not showing it..

One of the most important items in that excellent article is the one they quickly glossed over which is the one about using a fan to ease breathing. I live with my fan...it does not have to be as large as the one shown in the article...mine is one of those $6 Walgreen fans about the size of a 45rpm record (you remember those, don't you?). It does a good job of preventing us from re-inhaling our own expired CO2 by blowing it away as we exhale, thus keeping the O2 level we are breathing slightly higher. I had also read quite a while ago that the air moving on your face causes a reaction that causes your airways to open more than before. -- Vic ___________________________ www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC539472/

Cindy, I did not notice you posted until now. Glad to see you are around. If you are reading, I hope you have a nice birthday. You should find some greetings in the celebration section.
