I think I am going to have to find someone to help me with the heavy cleaning. I am just not up to it. Does anyone else have household help? Is it possible to get someone about twice a month to clean bathrooms and the kitchen, run the sweeper and polish the furniture? I think I can keep up with the daily picking up and meal prep, laundry, etc. but I am beginning to feel like my house is dirty and I don't like it. I have a big house, and old parents who aren't any help. Does help like I am looking or exist? Stay well, S.

Susan, your not alone. I have help that I use about every other week. I just don't have the lung power to scrub. I have them do the heavy stuff I can't do very well. I still mop and vacuum but not like I should. I keep up with the day to day stuff and my daughter is a tremendous help. If you need help and can afford it, go for it!!

Susan, now that we are about to move into our new apartment, I fully intend to get help again. I had help every other week for years and hubby decided we could do it ourselves. Well, I am not able to do the heavy cleaning and he was only hitting the high spots, so I have put my foot down. I used a cleaning service for a long time and was very satisfied with it. You can set up any schedule you like with most of them-------sandytx

Susan, check with your medicare supplmental insurance. Some of them offer home care for a nominal fee each visit. (I'm assuming you having medicare supplemental ins.). Pat

Pat, What kind of home care , would they do cleaning for you? That would be nice ...Doug vacums and scrubs both bathrooms and that is a big help, he also changes our bed clothes and I wash them .. but then there are still lots to do if you don't want you house to feel dirty like Susan says, mine doesn't have to be spotless just not dirty...
