I love it Ken. Do you remember the guys taking the gear shift and moving it from the right side of the stearing wheel to the left side? That took some getting use to learning how to shift it. All I ever wanted was to be able to take my car to TJ and get tuck and roll upholstery in it but never had enough money to do it. I did get to ride in a 57 T-Bird once. Boy did I think I was one cool mama.
Thanks for the memories

Ken, I also enjoyed that and have shared with a few others. I really connected to some of it. I almost forgot that we used to go to the drag races in Phoenix and race. It was no big PIR. It was Mel Larson's Drag strip. Now that does seem like forever ago.
I was familiar with many of those cars. I wish you could have a stop button on it so you could stop and look at it a little longer on certain pages.
Thanks for the memories.

My brother drove up from Florida in an early 60's Nova, (and gave it to me) looked like a Rambler, real boxy looking. Anyway, that car kicked a** and then my folks made me share it with my sister and she totaled it.
Betty, I met Bill Veeck, he was a White Sox owner one time, anyway he had a cherry '57 T-bird too and that car was sweet! He would go to the prostetic store across the street and then come visit with us when he was done, really nice guy.

I had so many of those and other cars and trucks. I only had one (67 Camaro) set up for the drag strip. We were street racers and the cops didn't appreciate us, nor did the citizenry. "HIDE YOUR DAUGHTERS AND GET YOUR KIDS OFF THEE STREET!! My very favorite was a black 59 chev impala 2dr hardtop. I would give my eye teeth for another one. I used to frequent Antelope Valley drag strip in Palmdale, CA. The road races after the drags were what was happening then (1964).
