Music keeps playing on my computer. I do not know where it is coming from. Just music and sounds like '500 Miles' but could be something else. I thought it was something that happened last night when I clicked on to watch an instant movie from Netflix but they said no. I didn't mean to do it and I stopped it right away. Then it got stopped before started.
I shut my whole computer down last night and it is still there today. What in the world is playing. I have nothing open that should be playing.

Is an ad open on your desktop or minimized?

Mary I googled "Music is playing on my computer" and a bunch of items came up. Maybe a solution is in there.

Have you visited a radio station on line? They will play music in the background and it's hard to figure where it's coming from. But...if it is the same song all the time, that sounds more like a pop-up ad like Cheryl suggested. A real mystery.

I think I found it. If it ever happens to you, this link worked for me. I started moving all my pinned windows from Firefox and then was going to use a whole new browser. After deleting several I turned the speaker back on and it was gone. www.ehow.com/how_7345542_music-playing-computer-don_t-coming.htmlI could not leave it playing while I was deleting the windows, as it was driving me nuts. It over and over the same part. I was looking for boomboxes last night to buy. Maybe I picked it up on one of those sites. I had about 3 of them marked. I really didn't think it was going to be so easy to solve. Thanks,

I'm so glad you found the solution. It's nice when you can fix something yourself without too many problems.
