Walked 32 minutes this morning on the tm. tried a few weight exercises. Worked out in my flower garden weeding and watering. Weeds sure can take over. I am thinking about going back to pulmonary rehab maintenance just so i can use the nu step and arm bike. Don't know for sure if i will or not. Sure wish we had a gym around here that had those two machines but we don't. lynn

I have not worked out yet. I did shower today and that was a workout in a way. Sure hard when you cannot breath, even sitting down. My saturation is starting to get in the 70's now. I did get a doctor's appointment for Friday.
I think the NuStep is one of the better exercise equipment to us. I used to think I was getting by easy using it. After a period of time not working out and going back, 'it' was not easy. Generally it seems easy but obviously it helps.
I would get one too if not for space. The TM is too big in our house but we deal with it.

Did my aerobics class and the leg press (115#) 3 sets of 6. Started to go for a walk, but the thermometer said 100* and I decided to stay inside!
Have a good weekend.

I wrote a post and guess I forgot to submit it. Been a long day. You ladies are doing good. I will be here if my breathing improves. Had some really bad moments today. I did see the doctor and going on more Prednisone. I posted about it in the COPD Section. Really hope to be in here soon. As of tonight, I am not leaving this room except for a bathroom break. I got really bad at dinner time. I think I needed to quit eating before I did. There was no air moving. Often use the fan, even with the A/C. I got worse after dinner. It reminded of a time in 2002. That was not good. Have a good weekend.

Thought I would join you this morning. I took my car to car wash (poor baby) it's filthy from the construction work across the street. I vacuumned the broken glass our of front seat. Whoever broke out my window will answer to a higher authority than me.
I re-potted my mandevilla plant. It's a prolific bloomer and it looked a little on the scarce side when I got home from Color. So re-potting it will helpfully help it along. Now I got to re-pot some succulents. They've outgrown the pot I re-potted them in a month ago:( Pat

Haven't done very much since Friday. My sciatica was acting up so it pretty much wouldn't let me walk. I was thinking about getting some accupunture sp for it but haven't really decided yet. Hope that everyone has a good week. Am going to try and walk on the tm today. I always feel better when i move. lynn

Hi Girls. I went to the gym this morning and had a good workout in the pool, plus the leg press. I was an older man on another machine I've never seen before--it looked really interesting and I plan to check it out.
I went for a couple of good walks over the weekend. Today again, it is 100* and the heat index is 110 so will stay inside.

Merry. Must be hard for you to walk in that hot weather. Walked 32 minutes this morning. Leg is starting to bother me again. Need to figure out a solution for that problem. Don't like to be unable to walk. I can really tell the difference when i don't move. lynn

Wish I could figure out what I did to my knee. It is really hampering my activities. I skipped the leg press today - someone was on it, and I didn't feel like waiting. Headed straight to the pool and took my class. Walked the dog several times over the last few days, but it really hurts my knee.

Howdy. Merry how is that knee doing? Pat. Sounds like you had quite a walk yesterday. Do you still use your walking sticks. I saw a woman at the marina a couple of weeks ago walking with the sticks and she said that she had a bad hip and that they really helped her. How are you doing Mary? I walked a couple of times this week and my back and leg started up again so i guess that i am going to have to go back to pt. I did do some upper body exercises this morning and rode my stationary bike for a while. Upset about not walking on tm. But i also know it could be much worse. lynn

Lynn, I have periodic sciatic nerve pain in both hips. I got approved for shots in the hips for bursitis. That can be excruciating pain. No walking when that flares up.
I walked down to the senior center to play rummytiles this am. Left about 10:30 for my interview for volunteer with Sheriff's dept. Just love looking at those men in uniforms:) lol Actually, I love law enforcement. I want to be a volunteer on patrol but have to take a driving test first, which one is parallel parking. oh oh Gotta have my friend help me with this one:(

I left house around 9:30 this am and went to Dress Barn and walked the whole store. I am looking for something 'catchy' for the picnic I am hosting in Oct. Didn't find anything that caught my eye, so went to Stein Mart and walked the store. Now they had some clothes that were worth thinking about. I do have a blouse I bought about a year ago that I like real well and the only thing I'd have to do is buy some chocolate brown cut-off's and a pair of sandals, I'd then be set.
So I left at 9:30, stopped for lunch around 11:30, stayed for about 45 minutes and then went home. Got home around 1pm.
