after all my moaning and groaning thought it would be good to post some good stuff too!
after my last update, with improved breathing, I decided I would do a 5K (5K is really 3.1 miles for those that didn't know, I didn't) it's to raise money for our local animal shelter...so this will help the animal, it will help me and surely it will help my family and friends......the walk will be a week from tomorrow, yikes!
I have been walking everyday and am up to 2 miles every other day, only one and a half more to do at one time LOL I DO use oxygen, and have to turn it up to two usually during these walks.......
I figure two month ago I could hardly do half a mile and with pushing and better intake of air I can now do this!
anyone that has any doubts about a LVRS, think again!!!!! Life is good

Wendy - we're so proud of you! It's amazing how stuff slips up on you and you don't notice the change til you really stop and think about it. You'll do super on the 5K. Next year, you'll be jogging!

Wendy, wish we could be there to cheer you on. I know you will do great. Are you running/walking with some buddies? Are there a lot of inclines or is the course prety flat.
I used to be a major runner and really miss it so I am very pumped for you. Is there any way we can contribute to your sponsorshiip for the run. I ask because i assume you raise moeny by getting sponsors. If not, please forgive I disagreeumptions.
If so, I would love to contribute. Just let me know.
Good luck girl. I know you will rock it.

thank you everyone for your support....it's hard to explain where I am with my lungs since my surgery.....obviously I"m better but I still do everything I did pre surgery just not as drastic! LOL such as "gasping" for air, yepper if I push I will but recover very quickly....never in my wildest dreams did I htink I would be doing this walk......once we removed my TTO in March, immediately I started to breath easier and that's when I saw the ad for this walk/run and since I'm an animal freak I knew I had to to this...it's for me, my family and the doggies!!!! RT, yep you can contribute, the web address is www.kintera.org/faf/donorReg/donorPledge.asp?ievent=418974&lis=0&kntae418974=B76E53AE90864F26A0826925FC4BB895yikes that came out long!!!!! after I post this will click and see if it works.......I didn't want to put that in cause I don't want anyone to think I'm writting this for donations, make sense? I used to run too and miss it terribly....this is a 5k run/walk and most are pretty serious about it...it's on one of our bike trails and it is a bit up and down....no big hills but even a slight incline feels like a mountain to me....Several of my grandkids will be walking with me cause they want to and think it's reall, really cool GMA W is doing this!!!!! I am so blessed with my family......I will get some pictures and post them.................... it's a week from today

well everyone, my walk is two days away, Sat A.M. tomorrow I am taking it easy, just watching kids LOL
I want to thank everyone that has supported me, both with donations and with your encouragement and support....It does mean a lot.....In a way I feel like I'm doing this for all of us.....
I don't know how many remember but I have spent the past 4 years getting back up to 10 minutes on the TM only to get an infection and start back at 2-3 minutes......now I'm about to do a 5K.........thank you all again

. . . Sat A.M. tomorrow I am taking it easy, just watching kids LOL. . . 'taking it easy', if you say so. . . I don't know how many remember but I have spent the past 4 years getting back up to 10 minutes on the TM only to get an infection and start back at 2-3 minutes......now I'm about to do a 5K.........thank you all again That last paragraph sure gives me encouragement because I have problems thinking right sometimes because I keep starting over. It does make me feel good that you say you feel you are doing it for all of us.
