Happy Monday. I am waiting for all of you to show up!! Let's go, girls. My back feels much better so I added my weight training back in today. Had no problem, so I guess the rest was all it needed. So -- here's what I did today: Treadmill: 30 minutes at 2.5 mph Leg Press: 3 sets of 10 @ 120 lbs Leg extensions: 3 sets of 6 @ 60 lbs Leg curls: 3 sets of 6 @ 60 lbs Compound rowing: 3 sets of 10 @ 40 lbs Pull down bar: 3 sets of 10 @ 50 lbs I skipped the stair climber - figured I'd done enough.

Happy Wednesday! I hit the gym first thing this morning. I was feeling feisty, so increased my treadmill speed to 2.6 mph, and walked for 30 minutes. Then did all my weight stuff - the same as above.
Anyone else?

Merry, I finally went out and did something yesterday ;D ;D We went to stepdaughters' and they took us to a local state park that is full of canyons and so we hiked down one. I was surprised I made it back up tho, lol. I told them before hand that I dont do "up" well at all, and their idea of easy or not bad at all is way different than mine, lolol. But I did it. I think going back up counts as a weeks worth of walking, lol.

I agree, Sue. UP is very tough. You earn bonus points for not needing someone behind you to push! When we were looking at mobile homes a few weeks ago, there was a new one on the lot that didn't have stairs yet. Of course, we wanted to look at it. You would have gotten a big kick out of watching me try to climb up into it I did make it!! But, down was a lot easier.

OK, I am back to work out. Seems I do a lot better when I make myself accountable. I have not worked out since my last workout post on June 4. That was 12 minutes on TM and 20 on what I call the bike, the one like this thing. Since I am starting over AGAIN, I did the following in addition to warming up. Bike for 15 minutes TM 2 minutes at 1.1Merry, I didn't mean to leave you all alone in here but I just had too much going on. Still do but have to work out. I have lost at least 10 lbs. Still dieting but was losing better when working out. I can really tell the difference in my breathing. It is better but mine is so bad that it doesn't make a noticeable difference. Glad your back is better. Sue, you always have places to get in walking. Some sound a lot more fun than walking in the house.

Went to the gym Friday and did my usual, then to the grocery store. So I got in a full morning of exercise! Hope you all have a good weekend, and I'll see you bright and early Monday morning. I expect everyone to report for class.
Oops -- I just remembered, I have to go to Gainesville Monday for a Bronchoscopy. I have to be there at 8:00, so I won't be here until after lunch. So...you can all sleep in and we'll have an afternoon class instead!

Merry, I am concerned about where you are. Hope no problem with your test yesterday. I planned to keep working out but something happened Friday and don't remember what. With things going on I was ready Sunday but decided to take the day off for the holiday as the boards even looked slow. I went Monday and got fitted for my new glasses. A bifocal so can use for reading and will also improve my distance due to a stigmatism I have. My eyes are working 20/20 now. From the time we got home until an hour ago, I was not feeling well at all. Don't know why. Did a lot of sleeping. If I still feel okay in the morning, I will definitely start working out. I am quite concerned about Joe as he seems to be having several problems and just hope they can be gotten under control. His doctor appointments and tests are piling up again. I felt so bad yesterday after Merry told us all 'to be here for sure', and then to find she is not here. Merry, Where are youuuuuuuu??

Here I am!! It's been one of those weeks! We all have them sometimes, i know. Monday I went to Gainesville for my bronch and stuff. Got the results Wednesday and everything looks great. But I got busy after we got home, and never did get on the computer -- sorry! I went to the gym Tuesday to make up for missing Monday and it was closed!! The guy who runs it is in the hospital and there was nobody to take over for him. A friend finally was found to keep the place open, so I went yesterday to work out. Did my same routine, but increased my speed on the TM to 2.7 mph for 15 minutes, then did the other 15 minutes at 2.5 mph. Did 6 flights on the stair stepper and all the weight machines. Today I went grocery shopping. I'll try to be better about posting - we've just been busy. Which is a good thing

Merry, its okay if you are busy. You can skip some days. I was concerned something might have gone wrong Monday. I may be back to post a workout if I feel good enough.
I have been sick all week but not a SOB thing. Will see how the day goes yet. It is not quite noon here. Merry glad you are okay. Don't overdo anything. Stop, reflect, and slow down.

Friday -- I went to the gym this morning and did my thing. Membership seems to be picking up. For the longest time I was the only one there most mornings. Today, there were 7 of us. It was nice to have someone to talk to Anyhow -- I walked for 30 minutes. 15 at 2.7 mph and 15 at 2.5 mph. Did 3 sets of 10 on the leg press at 120 lbs. Leg curls and leg extensions: 2 sets of 6 @ 60 lbs. Arm machines: 2 sets of 10 at 40 lbs. And the dreaded stair climber for 6 flights. Yuck!
