Hope that they prove this to be wrong:

Here's a little more info, a better write up. Either way, looks to be very few have had strokes, almost as many as those on a placebo.

Right Colleen, I sure hope they are wrong on that information. I wonder if anyone has heard anything about this.

Canyon posted the FDA press release on CI. I'll just repeat my post.
It comes down to choosing your poison. All of the drugs have potential for harm, offset by the benefits. I don't want a stroke, but I want to breathe better. Catch 22.
One further thought - we all (or nearly all) exercised our free will to use a drug known to be harmful with no redeeming features. At least this one has a positive effect with only a slight possibility of harm.

here is the FDA site. Remember it says "possible". Not terribly much difference as someone said between Spiriva and placebo.

I saw the highlight of this article earlier in my email, and my first thought, without reading it, was that 'I' am not having any problems with the use of the Spiriva and it really did help me, and I will keep using it.
I have come to not trust the studies or whatever without further checking them. Unfortunately in the past I would be taken in by a headline and then find out how many people were in the study and what the criteria was to get in the study and what they did. A fews times at least none of it was justified in my opinion to publish what they did.
For my heart problems, I would look first at my Albuterol and then my Advair that I used to use before the Spiriva. They all have effects. For some reason, and I cannot figure it out, someone seems to want to put these scare tactics into us with COPD.
We are not offered a lot of good choices nor near the research of other diseases and yet there sure are a lot of critics.
Hmmmm, I better stop or move my comments to 'rant section' Lol!
Whenever the black box warning came up on Serevent and mentions of wanting to stop the use of it, I had to disagree because the information it was based on was unfair when they talked about people dying with it in their hand. That was the fault of the user or provider of the medicine to not explain its proper use.
I have said too much. On the other hand there are some meds that do need removed for real good reason. I didn't mean this for all drugs.
