Have any of you tried the new Spiriva Respimat? I am curious to see if it is better then the regular. I'm wondering if the regular Spiriva is going to go generic. That would be great for our all of us.

Linda. This is the first I have heard of the Spiriva Mist. I have taken the regular one for years. I do take Advair mist as the powder gave me such bad thrush i had to get off of it. Yes. That would be wonderful if Spiriva went generic. Those inhalers are beyond expensive. Lynn

Linda, are you considering trying it? I know spiriva worked well for me while I was taking it and if I still needed it I would probably give this a try~Let us know~~

Hey Linda, I take the old Spriva. I only notice it is working when I DON'T take it, lol. I haven't heard of a new drug on the market until now.
If you do go with it, keep us informed. Guess I have something new to research.

Wish I could be on the forum more but I cannot. I asked my Pulmonary Dr about this when I first saw it. I am under the understanding that it is really just a once a day dose instead of twice a day. Could always just try it. Here is a site and has a video to tell about it. www.spiriva.com/respimat.htmlI still have to buy my Spiriva from ADC. Too expensive. Takes me to the gap to quick. I also agree with Aero that I only know that it is not working if I quit taking it.

Mary, I am exactly like that too. If I don't take it I am so much worse then when I am taking it. I don't realize it either until I stop. Thanks for your opinion. BTW, We miss you on the forum!

Hi..I'm new here so I hope this response is where it's supposed to be ;-) I was given the Respimat inhaler and didn't care for it. I found the packaging to be difficult to open and then I felt the delivery of the mist was inadequate..never quite sure if I was getting any. So I went back to the capsule type delivery system.

Hi Lois, good to have you on board. I appreciate your input as I have been using Spiriva for 15 yrs and really see no need to change. Like Linda said, I never realize how it works till I don't use it for a while.

Hey all. Forgot my old password so I'm a guest now. A question for ya.. my insurance co. just sent a letter sayin they will not offer Spiriva anymore. Now they will pay for Incruse Ellipta. It's always about money. I have no clue if this will work and if it doesn't, I have to have my doctor fill out paperwork..yada yada, and I won't have anything to take in the meantime till they get it straight. So..have any of you taken this? Thanks for any replies.

The insurance companies are run by bean counters, not doctors.

Hi citygirlz, I haven't heard of it either. I use advair, it's the only thing that's helped me.
I have an app on my phone called goodrx. It compares med prices at local pharmacies. My gosh, the prices for our inhalers are outrageous!
