Did not know where to post the questions about things.
I have been prescribed Atarax (hydroxyzine). Has anyone been prescribed this? Any reactions?
It states that it may cause extra bronchial sucretions and broncospasms. May worsen breathing with people with COPD or asthma, which I do have the asthma component.
Just wondering it is a little scary. Wont' be taking it unless someone will be here this weekend as usual for an allergic reaction. I have many, lol.

I've never taken Atarax - is it for sinus? But I do know that lots of drugs list those side effects...including drugs FOR COPD. Advair comes to mind...says it may cause bronchospasm. Hello? Isn't that what you take it for!!! Since the Atarax is an antihistimine, I would not think that those side effects are very common. The only way you're gonna find out is to try it.

Merry is right, most our meds say that is a side effect. BUT....I would be sure someone else is around when you first try it...

Thanks, yep, I always have someone here when taking new drugs.
Seeing an allergists on the 17th.
I know Nasonex often times causes me to have bronchospasms.
