I have a large Williams Sonoma machine, I think this would work in a regular machine as long as its not a small one....
1 cup water at about 110* 2 1/4 c. unbleached ap flour 1 teas salt 1/2 teas sugar 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
Put in machine in order listed Use dough cycle approx 1.5 hour Take out & shape into loaf and put on greases cookie sheet & let sit 1 hour in warm spot till doubled in size.
450* for about 20 mins

Your additions sound great. I am not sure what size mine would be considered. Average I guess.

thanks Colleen this is just what I wanted. Two more question, do you shape the loaf in the same shape as the "store bought" loaves and do you ever add olive oil? I have a Panasonic machine and it can handle 3 to 5 cups of flour (small, med, large)
I make bread in the machine (have not bought store bought bread in a long, long time), but I don't like the shape of the loaves so

omg....I forgot the water...1 cup at about 110*...& no I don't add olive oil but I have thought about it.....
I take it out and shape it into a long loaf & let rise 1 hour and then bake it. I have also thought about putting oil on the outside with either herds or seeds or sea salt.
