Thanks for the responses. I will look into them. I do know that most my life I kept hearing about doing windows with vinegar.
I went to another forum and did a search on Vinegar. I got quite a lot of input. I wanted to share these few with you in case anyone is interested. I had no idea and not sure yet if I could use it for a rinse on my hair!
These are friends that posted these. Wasn't all that long ago. It February but I don't remember reading it.
(Posted by Faybees)I hate smelly cleaning stuff and try to avoid it whenever possible.
This morning I was cleaning my bathroom with a well known tub of cleaning cloths. They were leaving smears on the countertop. I remembered a recipe for a vinegar cleaner. One cup of water, 1/3 cup vinegar and 2 drops of dawn in a spray bottle. Amazing stuff, everything came up gleaming with no effort at all. The bathtub was the worst. I use free from anything soap, no shower stuff cause it has fragrance. Anyway the dish on the side of the wall that holds the soap gets gunged up and it is hard to get off. One spray of vinegar and it was gone with a wipe.
I have black granite countertops in my kitchen and they never looked good. Not my choice mind, they were here when we bought the house. One spray of the vinegar mix and they are shining up a storm. It is good for glass too. There is a bit of smell at first but it soon goes and everything smells fresh. Love it.
All you guys who are allergic to fragrances like me should give it a try, the porcelain is gleaming.
(Posted by Faybees)I use vinegar to mop too, 1 cup to a gallon of water, makes the wood floors gleam. I use a cup of it in the dishwasher, makes the glasses shine, just put it where you would put the jet dry. It is a marvelous thing.
Home made fabric softener too:
6 cups water
3 cups white vinegar
2 cups hair conditioner (suave)
mix in a gallon container, but do not shake or it will make it foamy. Use as you would normally use your fabric softener in your machine. Or you can spritz it on a face cloth and throw that in the dryer. I have never actually tried this one, but by all accounts it is good.
Go to this gals website, it is amazing what you will find on there. onegoodthingbyjillee.com. She has a lot of recipes for homemade stuff.
(Posted by Jody W)Yes! I love vinegar. Leaves everything shiny and clean. I use it for the last rinse after my shampoo. Brings out the red in my hair ( which is quickly going grey) and helps to remove any dry scalp.
I use it in small bowls around the room in the event someone comes in wearing a fragrance. Bam! fragrance is gone.
There are 100's of uses for vinegar..good stuff and CHEAP.

Also if you have thrush it relieves pain and will get rid of it.
Take a small cup and put some water in it. Put in a small amount of vinrgar and some salt to cut the vinegar taste. Hold it in your mouth for about a minute. Keep doing it till you use it up.
It kills fungis of atheletes feet. Put a cup ful in about a gallon of hot water and soak feet every day.
Some years ago my husband broke his foot. It was swollen and blue. He took a small hand towel and soaked it in white vinegar. He wrapped it around his foot and put a plastic bag over it. He slept in it and next morning swelling was gone and most of bruising also.
He was too stubborn to go to doc and get a cast so he put on his boots, laced them up and went to work.
