For 3 days I have coughed up some yellowish gunk. So called my pulmo yesterday and requested something stronger than a z-pak. They called in a different anti-biotic and some prednisone. I'm wondering how long this infection has been lurking, as I've been sob for months. Main't guy changed filer in a/c and is running a fan under kitchen sink to completly dry it out I wasn't home when this was done so don;t think mold was found or otherwise they'd have to tell me rather than risk my health. I thought doing al this would relieve my allergies, but it's helped but still have them:( I'm not down in the bed sick, but just so sob. I also think I am having a reaction to Asmanex. Seems like everytime I use it, my sob gets worse. Maybe it's all in my head. It's very hot here. 100 for 2-3 days and high 90's for next week. Drinking lots of water. I have a girlfriend whose boyfriend had a heart attack a good month ago and was dx with congestive heart failure. H's been back and forth to ER. He's know in Critical care on life support. He has diabetes and doc's believe all his problems most likely stem from that. I feel so bad for him. He's just a really nice guy and Joni is taking good care of him when he's out of hospital. I don't know what to think. Hopefully he'll pull out of this.. Prior to him getting sick, he participated in the Senior Olympics. He was very active physically. I hope everyone is well today.

Sue, I use to have a terrible reaction for Foradil. Switched to Asmanex and am afraid it's giving me bad reaction. I can't win.. Also had a reaction to Dulera as it had Foradil as an ingredient.

Pat, I had my pulm. doctor visit today and she told me to take Asmanex. I hate using it but she told me if I didn't I would continue to wheez and be short a breath. I had a reaction to Foradil and quickly got off that one. Good luck! You have had your share this year! I hope things turn around for you.

Thanks Sue and Toby. I guess being sick with sob and terrible allergies isn't an important issue here. I've ben trying to figure out why I am always sob. Only time I improved was when II went to Hollywood. Evidentally no mold or mildew. So ?? I am on anti and pred now and hopefully that'll take care ofmy problems.
