The following article was on WebMD. It was a small group of COPD patients, so I Googled and found several articles all saying the same thing. Aug. 9, 2012 -- The gentle movements of Sun-style tai chi (SSTC) can improve the lives and boost the exercise endurance of people with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, according to a new study by Australian researchers. tinyurl.com/9hn9nckThis is a video I found on You Tube that shows the beginners version of this. It looks easy, however, I took a Tai Chi class a few years back and it about killed my legs to have them bent all the time. I think maybe it would still be beneficial to do it as best you could. tinyurl.com/8p9oafmHi Sue.

Hi Ladies; I will take a look at it. We had a class with a Tai Chi Instructor at rehab one time. I don't know if I could do it. I would like to have when I was well. I will take a look. What we did in rehab was easy but there was a lot more to it.
I am like beginning. I need to really practice PLB. I have my new equipment that will help with legs and arms and I need to focus on learning to relax. None of that is easy.
Thanks Nancy.

Mary, it is a lot of stretching and it is a big help as a stress reducer, just what you need and you can go at your own pace....this is why I thought of you, your just beginning and you have been under a lot of stress lately. You can go as slow as you need till you increase your strength and endurance and it will help with the regular exercise after a few months. Sorry you haven't been feeling well, hope it passes soon~
