Good mornin..I just got my new password so I could post again..I have been comin to read..I still see some familiar faces, so I don't feel like a total stranger..ha ha.. Now for some help I need since I know y'all have all the answers..and don't say you don't cause this board saved my life when I was first diagnosed by figuring out what meds I needed to take. You were right. So now this is my go to place for the new question I have. I'm on Medicare and I get extra help, but my part D insurance company recently stopped payin for my 200 puff Ventoline and changed my inhaler to the skimpy little Pro-Air. NOT ACCEPTABLE!!! Pro-Air is so tiny the propellant is not hardy enough to breathe it into my lungs AND it only has 90 puffs in the cannister..so basically they cut my dosage IN HALF. so..where can I trust to order my Ventolin on line and how long does it narmally take for each order to arrive. I need it like day before yesterday so hope the safe site is also speedy. Thank you so much for any help you can give me as I need to be able to breathe all day every day..not just 90 puffs worth of breathing. Big smooch to you all

Hi Citygirl. I get Ventolin from www.inhousepharmacy.biz/ They are fast and good to work with. A lot of people order from Alldaychemists, but they have a different kind of rescue inhaler and I can't stand the taste. I only use the Ventolin now.

Hi There citygirl. I was just looking in and saw your post. I was thinking about you recently and wondering how you are. Had not seen you in what seems like a long time. I have been gone since March but still long time then. Are you still doing about the same. I really wanted to also let you know that I order my Ventolin from Inhousepharmacy. Here is the page with the inhaler on it. I don't like their new website as well as their old one. The old one was easier to find things. The price is good. I usually get the 5 for $66. I also buy everything else from ADC. www.inhousepharmacy.biz/p-533-ventolin-inhaler-salbutamol.aspxNice to see you. Hope things are going okay.

The "guest" post above was me. For some reason I just could not log in. I had just got back from the grocery store and maybe I was still in shock after looking at the check out tape. Citygirl, so glad to see you. Hope you are well.

I'm gonna post before I read the link..Mary I've been keepin up with you from time to time..and everyone else too..some good things, some sad things, but you are all still givin it your best shot, as I am. I'm not so good lately. Really gone downhill in the last few months..can't walk to the bathroom and back to my chair without almost fallin in to it sometimes..other times I make it to the grocery store, but I don't do a full out trip like I was doin a year ago when I moved here.. did y'all even know I moved to Raleigh, N.C. I can't remember..I have a daughter and her family that are only about 10 minutes or so from me and I'm near lots of shopping, doctors, etc. so much more convenient than where I was living with my son. Still miss him and his family to pieces tho. xoxo ..so enough about me..I'm gonna go pull up the link now.. Thanks so much for the quick replies and the welcome.

Wow..$25.65 for 2 inhalers..wow! And did I read correctly..no shipping charge? Again..wow! Where does this come from and have y'all had any problems with a hold up at customs or anywhere?
and last question, I swear..do y'all use a nebulizer every day and your inhaler only once a day or when you go out? ..a friend recommended this but I haven't used my nebulizer in forever and don't want to go back to it and more medicine to buy again.. Thanks for your patience..xoxo

I believe it is from New Zealand area. There is no shipping charge. I've never had any trouble with customs. I don't use a nebulizer at all unless I'm having an exacerbation. (Knock wood, that is not often) I do take another COPD med daily. Because of the price of the inhalers from In House, I have one by my computer, another by my bed, one in my purse, etc. I use it whenever I need.

I get all my stuff from ADC. I'm not fond of the way their's taste but it works and they're only a couple of bucks each. I use a neb and albuterol inhaler as needed which means for me not daily tho I never leave home without the inhaler. I use Adair daily.

Citygirl -- nice to see you again! I don't use any inhalers/neb any more, but before my transplant, I took nebulizer treatments 4 times a day. I had Combivent inhaler for when I went out or if I got real SOB between neb treatments. I found that the neb treatments lasted longer and were more effective than the inhaler for me. Other people find the opposite, so I guess it really depends on what works for you.

Merry, so glad to read about your transplant. Amazing! Now you are good, with no more breathing problems, right? Good news to report..my doctor, finally after 11 days, faxed a please please please form to my ins. company and it WAS APPROVED! I got my 200 dose Ventolin back. YEA! If the doctor had done it on day 1, I would not have been in such a tither. Now I'm rethinkin gettin a new doctor. Thanks again for all your help. Even after being gone so long, y'all jumped right in to help. I knew you would. Big smooches to all that replied.
