Pat, you're going great guns with your walking! WTG, girl! Willomar, I think it's great you have a community center where you can do the Tai Chi, Zumba Gold etc. with people of similar age and challenges. It really helps to have the comraderie and encouragement. Do you know if there are any Zumba DVDs geared to people like us? Sue, are you meeting up with Willomar on the sly? And if you're doing Zumba in your dreams, it sure must be difficult to make your bed in the morning. And great on getting your walk in, especially on top of working! I did see that Merry is working out hard at the hospital, and I hope she gets back to the exercise forum now that she has internet access again. She's SUCH an inspiration! Colleen and MaryAZ, I hope you're both OK. I'm sending good vibes your way.

Hi everyone. I am not going to report in here again until I can get back to execise. I need to get over whatever this is. It is like xmas. Started scratchy throat, drainage, and now blowing the nose and sneezing. It has stages. Only difference is I seem to be ahead of it some. I am napping a lot but not totally down yet. I dread the coughing stage. Maybe I can miss it.
Pat, your tour sounds lovely and the pics are beautiful.
Willomar; We had an instructor show us Tai Chi in one of our classes at rehab once and I thought it was pretty neat. Seems very relaxing. Zumba is a new one to me.
Don't be worrying about me. I am just getting well.

Adina, yeah it is in my dreams that I do zumba, lolol. I dont think I could keep up with all that even if I didnt have copd, lol. The only walking I did yesterday was at Walmart. Today it is raining out so about all the exercise I'll get in is trying to pick up a chunk of a 17 month old.

Mary, hope your better soon!
I did the walking tape, made it 9 min. Different that the link, don't think I will make it much past that mark but I will keep at it. Also did 4 sets with 3lb. weights and did squats, this time with only 6 lbs, not the 10 !! I'm just glad I made 3 days this week of exercise. I want to work up to 5.
Hope you all have a great day!

Sue, picking up chunky 17-month olds qualifies as strength training! lol Colleen, good job with Leslie AND the weights! I'll be pulling for you to increase to 5 days, too. I really like the Sansone DVDs, but I sure wish she had one that was the equivalent of a mile in 30 minutes for people like us. I just can't DO the mile in 20 minutes like she does. sigh... Mary, I hope you're staring to feel better. I took the weekend off and will start up again tomorrow. I sure wish I LIKED exercising! Pat and Willomar, did you take the weekend off, too?
