Good morning All, it is sure quiet. I usually don't like to open cause sure as all get out, I am double posting or stepping on someone.

Joy's sister is flying in today to see her mother. No one has seen her in 22 yrs so it should be exciting?? She never had much to do with family after their dad passed in 91 and Joy finally got her to e-mail a letter once a week and then would print it and read it to her mom. Funny family was never close. Joy and I were always close to her folks and I am so thankful for that.

I haven't done much in the last few days. Went in this morning for fasting blood draw and they had to stick me 4 times before they could get blood. I finally get to see my new PC on the 19th. My lungs are still soggy but much better. I have a light cough and Chris came home last night with sore throat, coughing and low fever. I got his flu shot on Friday and get really upset with his mom and dad, they just aren't to quick about taking care of business. WOW, ranting again.

Colleen, I hope the poop fest is over soon. Joy's young shepherd has a real delicate stomach. Is Chloe sick with anything beyond "doggie flu".

Ken - Double posts happen all the time. It can't be helped sometimes and is not a big deal at all. I hope you all have a good visit with Joy's sister. Is she staying for Christmas? Glad to hear that your lungs are much better. Sorry to hear Chris isn't well. I hope he feels better soon. Keep your distance, K.

We had our water meter changed today. The updated one is mandatory. Making a nice roast chicken for dinner tonight.

Been very quiet in here lately. Guess everyone is getting ready for the holidays. I haven't put up any decorations -- I may do some at the last minute (probably will) but right now it just seems silly for just the two of us. I got gift card to send to the grandkids, but out finances are in such a state that we aren't buying anything for each other...so no need for a tree if there's nothing to put under it

I went to the pool this morning and had a real good workout. We're in a cold snap and going to the pool when it's 30* takes lots of fortitude! Funny...when I was a kid, I swam on the high school team. Swimming was a winter sport, and we didn't think anything of walking home through the snow after practice with wet heads, carrying a wet towel wrapped around out suits. I guess I was a lot tougher back then.

Ken i hope for a happy reunion with your SIL. My dad's side of the family isnt close. All my cousins on mom's side are, along with my kids. Id go nuts without my family. I hope gs feels better.

Cheryl we just got another inch while i was napping this afternoon.

Walking past the hospital an hour ago i saw this young gal crying.. she just came from the er and they wouldnt help her with her migraine. She had a script she couldn't fill cuz she didnt have the $2 copay. I had no $ on me or i would've given it to her.

I can't believe it but I did it again. I had a long post to everyone and my dog decided he was going to sit on my lap! I couldn't get it back. I'll just post only the important stuff.

Ken, how long is your SIL visiting? I bet your MIL is very excited. I hope you all have a wonderful time while she is here.

Merry, you said you didn't have enough money for gifts for each other. Why don't the two of you get each other something very small like a bottle of wine, or candy you haven't had in a while. Just an idea. I remember Sue saying her family use to wrap up something they already owned. It sounded like so much fun the way she described it.

Sue, what are you doing this year for Christmas? Are you feeling better? You said your cousin wasn't out of the woods yet. How long do you think it will be?

Colleen, my daughter's dog was throwing up night before last and had horrible gas. It lingered in her room something terrible! She didn't get any sleep either.

Has anyone heard from Dianne? I hope she is OK. She seems like such a sweet woman.

Cheryl, did you get the snow we did Saturday and Sunday? It was horrible here. The visibility was poor and just when you thought it was OK to shovel and clean cars off, we would get another dump! I felt so sorry for my husband. Buffalo didn't get it nearly as bad as we did in Orchard Park. We ended up with over two feet.

Evening everyone~ Sorry I didn't get in earlier but had a busy day. Went shopping sand I am about done and what I have left is easy. Hope to have it ll done by Wednesday.

Ken, glad your on the mend but try to stay away from the GS~~the 1st year w/him will be difficult till you both get used to each others germs, kinda like the kids in school~~Hope all goes well w/the SIL & MIL~ our family is pretty close although now that we're even farther away it will be less visits~

Merry, put the tree up anyway, its not about the gifts~ you have each other and you have your health..plenty to celebrate~~do like Linda said that Sue did, wrap up some funny stuff and have fun!! I bought that little elf on a shelf and have been putting all over the house even tho its just Dan & Amy...we've been having fun with it!! Never know where he's gonna show up!!! Praying some horses find a home and lighten up on your finances~~you support a lot of animals~~ We dont have a lot anymore but its ok, I have a home and a few more good years to live~~God is good!

Cheryl, enjoy your Chicken dinner~ I know you love it~~ great pic on FB of your Mom & MIL~~ This Christmas will be so special with the baby~~in a few years it will be so much fun with her~~ kinda missing the kids when they were little~~

Linda, you don't bore us, I love reading what everyone is up to~~we miss you when your not here~ same with all that don't post much...how's JoAnne doing anyway, been thinking of her and praying she's better~~

I have to work in the church office tomorrow, so glad they called me, really looking forward to it...this way I can find out what goes on and maybe get a real prayer shawl ministry going~~I miss it but have been busy with personal requests so its been ok but just not the same~~

Well, off to start a prayer shawl for a little girl that's dying from CHF~~so sad~~Its a member from Shelly's church...going to see about getting it blessed by our pastor tomorrow~~if not will go to Shellys Pastor. I'm sure I will not have a problem...

pss...Chloe is much better & the poop fest is winding down, glad I didn't have to bring her to the vet~I slept on the couch with her with a leash on her so when she moved I'd wake up to let her out so I wouldn't have to clean up any more poop on the floor~~had enough of that!!!!! Thanks for asking~~

PS~~ be careful in that snow~~kinda missing it now at this time of the year~~would love a light snowfall on Christmas eve/day~~ It was about 54* today and going to be in the 60's alter in the week....nice but not the same~
