I was starting to do my exercises again after a few months wait after my surgery and I started with walking across my house which is 65 ft one way. I had started added two laps a day and was up to 16 laps and then yesterday my legs felt like they weighted 100 lbs each and just could barely walk across the room. Now this morning felt better and was able to walk 12 laps before I just had to sit down.
Do any of you get that feeling? I know I have bad days and good days and it was getting to be more good than bad but with how I felt yesterday, don't know. The temp was real high yesterday and we are getting a lot of drifting smoke from the California fires and it seemed like the AC never turned off yesterday. Don't know if that had anything to do with it or not or just have one of my usual bad days or not so good days.
Hugs to all Betty

Betty - it could be a lot of different things... Bad air, fluid in your legs, just being out of shape, or "just one of those days". As long as it goes away, I wouldn't worry about it.

Did you check you sats? since you legs are fartherest from your heart it may be your sats are low but unless it continues I wouldn't worry. I heard of that happening to other people though. My Mom used to say that and for her it was a blood flow problem that came on sometimes. Like right now I am so sleepy and it is only 2:00 PM. It just sort of came over me while eating lunch. It is very rare and may have something to do with a sleeping pill and a xanax I took last night but I have to go lie down for minute. I have had it before and it doesn't last long.

I wish I could add something to this but don't know myself. I have a lot of days that I cannot account for how I feel.
I thought recently I was having sinus/allergy problems as I was sleepy a lot and run down some. I say run down just not knowing how to describe the lack of energy I guess.
A couple days ago I thought maybe I am drinking too much caffeine. I drink like a pot of coffee a day. I try to keep drinking water but not enough for the coffee. I think I used the coffee for a substitute when I cut down on cokes. I only drink one coke a day. Today I only drank about one large cup of coffee. I also associate this with my being so dried out. My nose (and from 02), eyes, etc.
Even today still not real chipper. Our temps are extreme also. We were up to 118 to day I believe. However, I am in the house. I feel the exercise helps me to get things moving in my body. With the draggy feeling it is not easy to keep pushing the exercise. I want to do tho.
That was a lot to be said for not being able to offer any help. Hope you find out what will help you.

I've had that too, usually when I had to take a long walk......my legs feel like lead and like I'm not moving at all.

I'm looking for answers myself, since I came out of hospital I seem to be going back wards, I have the usual meds like spiriva and symbicort, but not getting good days any more. I do have a low dose oral morphine to iron out the worst bits but oddly enough I have found a cough mixture that helps a lot as well. I should be seeing my own doctor today.
